The Master of Coaching and Mentoring is ideal for professionals working in private or public organizations who wish to develop the skills and knowledge needed for successful coaching and mentoring.

Our MA in in Coaching & Mentoring consists of two phases:

Completing the mandatory 6 modules provided by ‘OTHM Level 7 Diploma in Coaching & Mentoring’, earning the total of 120 UK credits
-
Continuing onto a top-up, Capstone project stage; earning the additional 60 UK/12 US credits.
The MA in in Coaching & Mentoring consists of a combined total of 180 UK credits (36 US credits), 1800 hours Total Qualification Time(TQT), 27 Guided Learning Hours.
Eligibility
For entry onto the MA in Coaching & Mentoring programme, learners must possess:

An honours degree in a related subject or UK level 6 diploma or an equivalent
overseas qualification -
Mature learners with teaching/management experience

Learners must be 21 years old or older at the beginning of the course
English requirements: If a learner is not a national of an English-speaking country, they must
provide evidence of English language competency at a standard equivalent to the levels identified below,

IELTS 5.5; Reading and Writing must be at 5.5
For Phase One, a variety of assignments and tasks will be used to support learning and assess the knowledge, such as presentations, essays, reports and case studies. All units within this phase are assessed internally by Eton University and externally by OTHM.
For the capstone project, students are required to choose a specific theme; an area of their interest within an coaching and mentoring. They will research this topic then write a 12,000 word essay on it. The time expected to complete this stage is 2 quarters, however, flexible options are available.
To obtain Master in Coaching & Mentoring degree candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

Unit 1: Theories and Concepts of Coaching and Mentoring within Organizational Culture
This unit aims to introduce learners to the theories and concepts within the coaching and mentoring process. Learners will be able to critically analyze and apply a range of theories, models, and practices related to coaching and mentoring within organisational culture.
Unit 2: Evaluating the Strategic Impact of Coaching and Mentoring
This unit is about evaluating individual, team and departmental development derived from coaching and mentoring, and the impact of coaching and mentoring behavior on strategic performance objectives. The learners will also gain knowledge on how to establish a coaching or mentoring contract that meets individual and stakeholder requirements.
Unit 3: Establishing Coaching and Mentoring in the Organization
The aim of this unit is to develop learners’ understanding of the importance of managing intercultural communication and perspectives that help to determine educational policy applicable to national and international contexts.
Unit 4: Organizational Change Strategies and Personal Development
This unit is about identifying, developing and implementing change strategies to meet organizational objectives, using a range of management models, tools and techniques, involving coaching and mentoring. The unit also provides an opportunity for self-assessment and to develop a continuous development plan.
Unit 5: Coaching, Mentoring and Managing Organizational Culture and Behaviour
This unit aims to develop learners’ knowledge of organizational behavior, culture and values and the impact they have on strategy, performance and the development of appropriate cultures; the unit also explores cultural differences and their impacts on coaching and mentoring.
Unit 6: Research Methods for Coaching and Mentoring
The aim of this unit is to develop learners’ research skills to include an understanding of different research approaches, formulation of research proposals, planning research activity, analyzing and interpreting data, and the relationship between research and evidence based practice.
Capstone Project
Drawing on the knowledge and skills gained during the programme, students create a research project that enables them to further their educational experience. By independently examining the theories and methods traditionally used to tackle real-life situations , policies and management issues, and by communicating logically and formulating meaningful claims, students are asked to challenge the existing ideas and propose new solutions. The project’s aim is to contribute both to the students’ professional development as well as to the advancement of the coaching & mentoring field.

Tuition &
Course Materials
Students will study this program through our Hybrid Learning model.
This virtual study mode allows flexibility and expert-led teaching to be accessed from anywhere. Students only need their laptop and a stable internet connection. Each module contains 4 one-to-one or small group sessions with the tutor. Sessions are recorded and available to be rewatched at any time through the learning portal. The learning management system gives students access to course materials and resources relevant to the study programme, such as textbooks, presentations, case studies and guides. If required, additional private tuition hours can be booked.
